The Met Department predicts light to moderate rainfall across the country, while Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha are to experience isolated heavy rainfall from September 23 to 26

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light spells of rainfall in Mumbai on Monday, as per the latest Mumbai weather update. The weather agency, in their Mumbai weather update, has forecast a "partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain and thundershower towards afternoon or evening in city and suburbs" for the next 24 hours.

Due to heavy rain, the IMD has issued a yellow alert in Mumbai from Monday to Wednesday. A yellow warning has been issued in Thane, Palghar, and Raigad districts until Friday. Meanwhile, amid the possibility of very heavy rain in isolated pockets, an orange alert (be prepared) has been sounded in Thane and Palghar until Wednesday.

Mumbai is set to see rain this week after a prolonged dry period, with the IMD issuing a yellow alert from Sept 23 to Sept 25 for thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall. An orange alert is in place for Thane and Palghar on Sept 25,
