At first, FSU informed students who wished to remain on campus that it was fine to stay in the residence halls as Tallahassee campus housing operations continued throughout the university’s closure, which began Wednesday and is expected to last through Friday before a possible Monday reopening.

As Hurricane Helene makes its way to Florida, FSU and FAMU opened their doors to students and local residents in need of safety.
