Former England captain Michael Vaughan believes the India-Pakistan relationship will only get worse amidst the recent 2025 Champions Trophy scheduling fiasco.

India has reportedly said its men's cricket team will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy next year, throwing the event into turmoil.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has sought clarification from the sport's governing International Cricket Council (ICC) following India's refusal to travel across the border for next year's Champions Trophy,

The 2025 Champions Trophy is at the center of controversy. Set to be hosted by Pakistan in February-March, the tournament's future in the country is uncertain after BCCI declined to send the Indian team to Pakistan.

The PCB’s demand for clarification comes amidst political strains that have kept India and Pakistan from playing bilateral cricket on each other’s soil since 2008.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan does not see any light at the end of the tunnel, and he had no qualms in predicting that the cricketing relations between India and Pakistan are going to get "worse" moving ahead.

Currently, neither Pakistan nor India are taking a step back from their current stance, meaning no compromise is yet to be reached on the tournament's location.
