PHOENIX — The Arizona Supreme Court declined Sunday to extend the deadline for voters to fix problems with mail-in ballots, a day after voter rights groups cited reports of delays in vote counting and in notification of voters with problem signatures.

The Arizona Supreme Court denied a request for an emergency petition to extend the deadline to correct mail-in ballots. This petition came from the American Civil Liberties Union, which asked to allow voters with problems on their ballots four days to fix them.
