Of all the grand palaces in Seoul, this palace receives the least attention-at least in the travel books I read-but is a favorite for locals, for a great reason: it's lovely. Well worth a visit. Full review by hrtraveler

We visited Deoksugung Palace (yes, we did 4 of the 5 major palaces in Seoul) early, which was before the crowds arrived - so it was quite peaceful. A lot more greener / gardens than the others we had… Full review by normanp311
